The exploration potential of the Southwest Terrane has been demonstrated through discoveries of economic gold deposits at Griffins Find, Katanning and Tampia. However, compared to other parts of the Yilgarn Craton, the intensity of exploration activity has been relatively low.
Cygnus’ tenements include early-stage exploration areas through to advanced drill-ready targets, where high-grade gold or base metals drilling results were achieved by previous explorers.
In addition to its 100% owned projects, Cygnus is managing exploration on two significant earn-in agreements and two joint ventures with Gold Road Resources Limited (ASX: GOR). Gold Road is also a major equity shareholder in Cygnus – a strong endorsement of Cygnus’ team and strategy.
This endorsement is strengthened by our cornerstone investors, Resource Capital Fund VI L.P and Southern Cross Capital.
Cygnus’ technical team has considerable knowledge and experience in targeting and evaluating mineralised systems world-wide. Cygnus’ tenement package was acquired following a regional-scale, ‘mineral systems’ approach to identifying areas comprising key elements of the targeted deposit type, such as greenstone belts.
